Making Memories This Valentine’s Day

With thirty five million heart-shaped boxes of candy to be exchanged this year, you may be looking for a new way to celebrate with your beloved. Dining out on Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest revenue generators for the food and beverage industry. Restaurants can be crowded and you may not get the quality meal you we hoping for. This year, consider cooking your special meal together at home. Here are some ideas from the Food Network for a make-together meal:

Instead of candy or flowers, consider having an experience you can treasure together this year. Our campuses are offering some wonderful opportunities to make treasured memories for Valentine’s Day. L’Ecole St. Louis is offering two special evenings to beat the restaurant rush with prix fixe dinners on February 11 and 12th.  Two guests may choose from several selections for this four course feast for only $50 total. The menu features braised beef, chicken saltimbocca and shrimp with capers. See the full menu here.

L’Ecole St. Louis, L’Ecole Memphis and L’Ecole Kansas City are all offering interesting classes covering chocolate creation and regional cuisines on or around the Valentines holiday which are fun to take together. Enrollment is conveniently offered online. A gift certificate for a future class makes a great gift as well.

Has all this talk of love and food made you wonder if it is time to consider training for a culinary career you may love?
